In their final home meet of the season and the final one of the careers of the seniors, the Plainfield swimmers broke five pool records at the Plainfield YMCA.
Zach Brown swam the 200 freestyle in 1:54.04 and the 100 freestyle in 51.15, both pool records.
“It was a good way to close out the home meets of the season,” Brown said. “I was really excited that we had two home meets this year instead of only one. It was great to break pool records on my senior night. I am excited to come back in four years and see what the freshmen do as seniors.”
In the 200 medley relay, Jake Nurczyk, Matt Sheehan, Jim Bruce and Mike Pietrantonio broke the record with a 1:51.25. Nurczyk broke the 100 backstroke in 1:01.91.
In the 400 freestyle relay, Brown set his fourth record along with Pietrantonio, Thill and Nurczyk in 3:36.91.
