Central assumes SPC control
Wildcats pound Panthers 22-6 to take over sole possession of first place

Anthony Stewart, a 2006 Plainfield South High School graduate, ran for 866 yards and 12 touchdowns for the University of Central Missouri football team in Warrensburg.
He added a team-high 54 catches for 714 yards and four scores.
•Al Palar, a 2008 Plainfield Central graduate, leads the St. Xavier University men’s soccer team in Chicago with seven goals.
He has added four assists and leads the team with 18 points.
•Perry Dorrenstein, a 2006 Plainfield Central graduate, has made six starts at right tackle for the University of Michigan football team in Ann Arbor.
•District 202 residents Connor Krisch, Josh Mander and Luke Gundersen are members of the University of St. Francis football team in Joliet.
Krisch has run for 904 yards and seven touchdowns on the season, with nine catches for 83 yards.
The Joliet Catholic Academy product ran for 200 yards and three scores in a win over Waldorf October 31.
It was good enough to earn him the Mid-States Football Association/Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week for the second time on the season.
J.P. Teach, a 2009 Plainfield Central High School graduate, is a member of the Saints’ men’s cross country team.
Plainfield Central graduates Joel Perez, Tony Sallese, Robbie Burke, A.J. Simpson and Luis Escorza, Plainfield North graduate Damien Silva and Plainfield South graduate Alex McKanna are members of the Saints’ men’s soccer team.
Escorza leads the area players with three points on the year, while McKanna has 29 saves and a win to his credit.
Sean Markert, a Plainfield South graduate, is a member of the Saints’ men’s tennis team.
•Plainfield South graduates Kevin Harper and Ray Croom are members of the Olivet Nazarene University football team in Bourbonnais. Harper is a 6-foot-5-inch, 300-pound offensive lineman, while Croom is a 6-4, 320-pound redshirt.
•Plainfield North graduates Sean Williams, Tim Eulitz and Alex Helriegel are members of the Upper Iowa University football team in Fayette.
Eulitz is 4-for-6 on field-goal attempts and 10-for-12 on extra points.
Kel Markert, a 2009 Plainfield South graduate, has recorded eight saves for the Upper Iowa men’s soccer team.
•Plainfield Central graduate Steve Bosilovatz is a 6-4, 270-pound offensive lineman for Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.
•Plainfield South graduate Chris Kane took home a pair of fifth-place finishes this year and had his best time of 25:13 for the North Central College men’s cross country team in Naperville.
Fellow South graduates Nick Kane and John Prieboy have top times of 25:31 and 28:11, respectively.
Plainfield Central graduate Scott Hogan has 32 tackles and two interceptions for the North Central football team.
Mike Ream, a 2009 Plainfield Central graduate, is an offensive lineman for the Cardinal football team.
•Luke Berndl, a 2009 Plainfield North graduate, led the Joliet Junior College men’s cross country team in every race this season.
His reward was a 42nd-place finish at the NJCAA Division III National Championship race with a time of 30:28.
Plainfield South graduate Nick Rogers and Plainfield North graduate Chris Conway are members of the Wolves’ football team.
Plainfield Central graduates Jake Powers, Diego Rios, Arturo Rios, Luis Rios, Robbie Burke and Ariel Ortega are members of the Joliet Junior College men’s soccer team.
•Plainfield Central graduate Brett DeLange is a redshirt freshman offensive lineman on the Bemidji State University football team in Bemidji, Minnesota.
•Chris and Cyle Schultz, Plainfield Central graduates, each played in three games this season for the Wayne State College football team in Wayne, Nebraska.
Cyle has completed both of his passes for 12 yards and has eight rushes for 22 yards. Chris has one catch for six yards.
